The Major gods of the Murdon Universe are all characters that were played by a player that reached the maximum level before the end of their given campaign, usually starting from level 4. The Major Gods each have dominion over what they valued most in their mortal lives, and their power is directly linked to how popular they are among the common people and the players. if a god drops in power enough, they can be weakened to the point that they can be killed, or possibly wither away themselves naturally. this might not be strictly the end of a god, however: through certain rituals or aid from a higher being, such as a progenitor, gods can return to life after being killed. but this is no easy task. two pantheons exist: the Bright Pantheon and the Dark Pantheon. despite their names, morality doesn't determine who goes into which pantheon. the only determining factor is which Pantheon's leader accepts a god into their fold
