The Bright Pantheon

The Bright Pantheon were mortal heroes who caught the eye of Arkus for their will, resolve, strong principles and power. Although they are disparate in their means and philosophies, they are resolute champions of the ideals that people uphold as righteous and necessary. Taking worship from most virtuous beings, these gods endeavor to protect the varying planes from egregious outside interference and calamity.
Arkus
Arkus is the first major god to be ascended, and is widely regarded as the leader of the gods. He is the god of heroes, and lived his life fighting as a gladiator and a pit fighter, wielding what would come to be known as the Blade of Brave Arkus, a bejewled gold greatsword that came to life with whatever form of magic Arkus wished, usually dark, fire, and wind magic. It was also said that he could wrap the very fabric of time around the blade, though what effects this had on Arkus and his opponents is largely unknown. Near the end of Arkus’s mortal life, he fought an incredibly powerful lich and necromancer, and saved his world from near total destruction.

Illska

"I’m many things, Atlas. But I’m not a lie. At worst I’m a lesson." Illska is the Goddess of Mortal magics, especially those used for the sake of healing. Illska’s entire life was paved with sorrow and misfortune, causing a very young tobin to grow up quickly. At a young age, her family was slaughtered before her eyes, and the only way that she could keep her brother alive was by tying his soul to a golem, an act that greatly diminished his speech, intellect, and general ability to function. Illska spent the rest of her mortal life researching and training with mortal magic in an attempt to become strong enough to heal him. Eventually, she succeeded, but soon after she needed to sacrifice his life in order to stop a powerful evil from taking over the world. As such, Illska learned the terrible limits of life and mortality, and carefully chose which lives needed to be saved and which ones could not as the goddess of mortality.

Gale

Gale is the god of balance and heaven, holding the truth and Justice above all else. During his mortal life he was a holy knight of light, holding true to his beliefs of truth and Justice during a time when many did not. He grew up well and easy, his father being the head holy knight but his peaceful life was torn up when his kingdom was attacked. He led the rebellion against the evil emperor and paved the path to redemption for the plane, destroying a corrupt heaven and taking its place. But while he was busy with those matters, he was blind to the greater evil of Malakill who came to destroy his plane. Gale sacrificed his future to spare his plane, offering himself as an immortal sacrifice to Malakill to spare his plane. He was eventually freed by Marquis and now sits at his place as balance and heaven.

Marquis

"Why is it, that they always show up when im in the middle of my experiments? What. Do. You. Want?" Marquis is a god of his own initiative. He is fuled by curiosity and a craving for knowledge. This may stem from the fact that his own memory was taken from him. Shortly after his memory loss he drove himself to near madness to make his magic stronger than he ever had before becoming a god. His first feat as a god was slaying Demesius and making his bones into weapons such as Hysteria to defeat Malakil and save the universe. After losing to Malakil and freeing Gale he fell off the Grid. The God's trust him to make the Weapons required to fight any Evil that opposes them.

Wyatt

"Welp... im here for two things. To drink ale, and Kick ass. Would you look at that? Seems im all out of Ale." Wyatt was born the bastard Prince of a kingdom in his home realm. When he came of age he was hunted out by The King. Wyatt did what he knew best and ran. Faster than the wind, he fled deep into the forest in the mountains. The King's Hunters eventually caught up to him at the edge of a chasm where Wyatt decided to make his stand. He took down two of them with a stone before he was stabbed in the chest permanently damaging his Gois. Spitting out blood and defiant as always, he continued to fight in spite of his injury. They threw him off the cliff and returned home. They did not know that Wyatt had survived the hundreds foot fall, his descent broken by jutting ledges and tree branches. At the bottom of a chasm he lay bleeding out, his arms and legs broken and several ribs cracked. As he struggled to breathe and stared through eyes half blinded by blood, he saw eyes that seemed to match his own before passing out. Falling in and out of consciousness he learned that at the bottom of the chasm a pack of dire wolves nested and that they were caring for him. His body eventually healed, nursed back to health by the wolves. He became a beast of the pack. He learned to survive and how to lead the wolves. How to care for them. In time, in his mind, he became one himself. Several years had passed and Wyatt and his pack thrived. With Wyatt at their head, they grew far stronger than any other pack. Life was simple and everything seemed in its proper place until his sister visited him. She needed his help, and to Wyatt his own blood is everything. Wyatt went on to tame most beasts, even making a deal with a Demon Lord Ajram The King of the Skies in exchange for his help. To this day Wyatt protects him and his Descendants as though they were his own blood. His alignment with Nature became so powerful that he became the first werewolf. He along with the help of Reka helped defeat the 4 other demon lords and repair the broken seals in his home realm. Now it is said that he travels the Cosmos protecting nature and good as well as controlling his realm where any great Warrior may find themselves.

REKA

Reka is the god of freedom, music, and pirates. As a mortal he was a pirate who thought only of himself and what he wanted, oftentimes using his charms to manipulate others for gain. He eventually started mercenary work for the prince and moved up to a general for an airship fleet. It was when the prince had him destroy an entire city full of people Reka had enough. He discovered that the prince was the demon king and that Reka could be good and work for himself at the same time. He started a coup and defeated the demon king, securing himself a spot on the godly throne.

kAEVAR

“Mercy means nothing without strength. Strength is useless without conviction. Conviction is empty without purpose. Purpose is futile without values. Let your first value be mercy.”-The Code of Dane Kaevar Dane is god of Guardians, Alliance and Mercy. He is the son of Gale, god of Balance, Justice and Heaven. Any being empowered by his magics will find their strength increased twofold, from a mother protecting her children to a god guarding a whole world. He started his existence as a mortal, a nobleman's son and climbed the Godling Tower at the age of 20 in a self-sacrificing attempt to fix what he saw as a broken world, ravaged by senseless war. He formed a group with the other godlings, taking the role of their frontline protector and making the battle plans for the group. In the tower, he discovered his divine heritage and that his mortal father, Phillip Dane had been killed by his brother Jadawan under the influence of the dark god at the top of the tower. He and his fellow godlings fought Malakill, the Devourer of Worlds. Kaevar became a god when he sacrificed himself so that the finishing blow could be delivered. In the council of gods, he preaches forgiveness and mercy, and upon the world he left behind, he practices it. Rather than punish his brother for the patricide he had committed while under Malakill’s influence, he offered him the chance to redeem himself, tasking him with seeking peace as a ruler of men and with establishing a holy order of knights to protect the common people. Even long after the death of Lord Jadawan, the Knights of Dane continue to be an honored and beloved force throughout the worlds. Tasked with guarding those who cannot guard themselves in any and all capacities, some roam the world as kindly knights errant while others open shelters and soup kitchens. Kaevar continues to watch over and lead them when he can, occasionally communing with them to guide them to those most in need. He has fashioned an afterlife called Absolution that may be chosen by any regretful dead. Within Absolution, those who dread an afterlife of musing on their mistakes and failures may gain the help of Kaevar’s servants and each other in finding peace and perhaps even closure with those they have failed or wronged. With his faceless helmet Sentinel, he can see almost anything in the multiverse from his seat in Absolution. While unable to act upon most mortal events, he can perform the very occasional miracle for the faithful, especially guardians of all kinds, who he is patron of.

Zefvyr

"Come and take a seat with me. Tell me about your day, and we'll see if we can't make it even grander." Zefvyr is the god of stories and the wonder that fills them. From a very young age, Zefvyr came to know suffering well. Following the death of his parents and adoption by his abusive aunt, most every moment of his time growing up was spent nursing a bruise or quieting his empty stomach. Refusing to let his pain spill into the world, he began to place his dreams of a better place on paper. He chose to take that pain and make something beautiful in its stead. As his life extended, and love entered his heart, the stories grew even grander. Any time tragedy strikes, Zefvyr will always be there to lend his wisdom, joy, and compassion. A quiet voice and open arms are his weapons of choice. No matter what happens, everyone needs a friend. Standing at a humble 5'6", this very old man does not appear to be intimidating in the least, but looks can be deceiving. A shock of white hair, a bushy white beard, an old travel coat full of pockets with a satchel to boot, and his ever-present hummingbird companion Charlotte. Not one to ever boast, Zefvyr hides his mastery of magic behind his kind smile. With the incredibly powerful artifact: The Book of Murdo in his possession, his magics are even grander.
