The Lore of Murdon Games
The worlds of Murdon are as varied as the combined imaginations of their players and their CMs. our canon lore develops as the stories written in our worlds develops. when we say that our players make Murdon, this is what we mean. our players are the ones that create, develope, and play in our world. we keep track of what we're able, and record it among these pages
A Brief History
the world first began when the first progenitor, Murdo, willed it into existence, starting the first era. not much was known about the first era, on account of it inherently predating modern history. what we do know is that the beings who came from that time are now incredibly powerful, and the first era ended when Murdo was killed, and one of Murdo's creations, a man named Malakill, ended all of existance by devouring everything that Murdo had created. between the 1st and 2nd era were the primal ages, a period of time filled with both planes and progenitors that tried to seperate from the nothingness around them that Malakill had created. during this time, progenitors, primarlily Arkus, attempted to create planes and civilizations, only for Malakill to once again destroy them after a handful of centuries. little still exists of the primal ages, but not nothing. the 2nd era is much better recorded and understood then the previous ages. the first two primal planes to survive into the 2nd era were Illska's home plane, and Gale's home plane, both of whom are unnamed, on account of them predating naming planes.
Gale was a Holy Knight on his plane, with a strict father who ran the knightly order. a war had been starting by another member of the holy knights, one greatly respected by the other knights, Gale most of all. This knight, Matteus, named himself emporer and began his conquest to control the world. after years of war, Gale approached the emperor and confronted him. Matteus revealed that the progenitor Michael was on his way to destroy the plane, claiming that it was unpure. Matteus and Gale's father created a plan, involving making one of them a paragon of good, and the other a paragon of evil, to make them both a perfect vessel for Michael, splitting him in half and forcing him into a mortal form. the plan was successful, and Michael was defeated by Gale. through his actions, Arkus granted him godhood, but his good fortune wasn't to last. shortly after, Malakill, having sensed the emense energy levels coming from a place that shouldn't exist, approached the plane and began to devore it. in a desperate ploy to keep his plane safe, Gale approached Malakill and made a deal with him: he would offer his power and immortality for the progenitor to feed off of, and in return, he would leave Gale's home alone
